Now or Never is the City of Melbourne’s newest major event – exploring the intersection of art, ideas, sound and technology. The festival will return to Melbourne from Thursday 22 August to Saturday 31 August.

Exploring the theme ‘Look Through The Image’, Now or Never promises to unlock the doors of audiences’ imagination, stirring emotions and prompting contemplation.

The expansive program will celebrate leading Victorian, Australian and international creatives at the cutting edge of digital cultures and future thinking. A dispersed festival footprint that will see events drive visitors to all corners of the city, boosting local business.

“After making an incredible debut last year, the City of Melbourne’s newest festival, Now or Never, is back in 2024,” Lord Mayor Sally Capp said.

“The inaugural festival attracted more than 150,000 people into the city – generating almost $14 million in economic impact and supporting hundreds of local jobs and businesses. Now or Never will feature leading local and international artists and creatives across a program of groundbreaking music and audio-visual performances, immersive art installations, provocative talks, spectacular technology and much more.

“We’re looking forward to revealing the compelling 2024 festival program in the coming months.”

Program details will be released in late-May, with the full Now or Never program to be announced in late-June.
