Their Mexican Cooking Master Class delves into Mexico’s sensational array of dishes and drinks, with expert chef tuition teaching you everything from the fundaments of Mexican ingredients and flavours, all the way to the actual cooking tips, tricks and techniques only an experienced chef can teach you.
The totally hands-on experience will see you learn how to craft Mexican recipes yourself from scratch, suited to your own palette rather than a recipe’s. At the end, you’ll be able to take home online material from your class to get you started creating the perfect dishes at home – but not before you enjoy the delicious fruits of your labour with sparkling wine and beers.
All the class sizes are intimate, so you’ll get constructive tuition to ensure you leave the session feeling like you’ve mastered the tips and tricks to cooking amazing Mexican food.

Otao Kitchen are renowned for their dumpling workshops – it’s one of their specialities – and their Dumping Party is more than just a valuable skill, offering you the chance to immerse yourself in Chinese food culture.
Another totally hands-on master class, Otao will teach you to master the art of dumpling making from the ground-up. You’ll learn how to make your own dough from scratch – a highly meditative, rewarding process – before creating the most sumptuous filling of your choice. There’s options for every palette – beef, pork, chicken, tofu – and you’ll also learn how to craft your dumplings to aesthetic perfection with a selection of decorative folds.
Like all Otao Kitchen classes, you’ll be guided by a professional, experienced chef who’ll add finesse to your enthusiasm. At the end, you’ll get to eat to your heart’s content or take your creations with you.
What you’ll do on the day
- This hands-on dumpling making experience lasts for 2 to 2.5 hours
