Keep up to date with all the latest music interviews, news and reviews here.

The festivities commence with Private Stash performing from 4pm, followed by Redspencer at 5pm, Roller One at 6pm, Foggy Notion at 7pm, with Pollyman concluding things at 8pm.

Pollyman, the moniker of George Carroll Wilson, draws on pop and rock sounds both old and new, delivering “power-pop hooks and retro looks” in the process.

Foggy Notion is a Melbourne band steeped in the sounds of ’60s garage rock. Originally starting out as a two-piece led by best friends Shyam Caroll and Maxine Fink in 2016, the band moved from Lorne to Melbourne and expanded into a six-piece outfit.

The band has since played alongside the likes of Drunk Mums, Bananagun, Black Bats, Mesa Cosa and more, with their unique melange of garage rock and country capturing the imagination of Melbourne music lovers.

Thirdly, it’s worth noting Redspencer’s achievements. Founded by brothers David and Aiden McMillan in the northern NSW town of Glen Innes, the slacker rock band has been on the scene since 2013, with a number of singles and an album, Perks, to their name.

Redspencer’s performance at Brunswick Ballroom comes as the band gears up to release their second LP, Dreamworld, sometime this year.

The gig goes down this Sunday May 2 at The Brunny Ballroom. Grab tickets here.
