Long You Lie is the A-side of a 7-inch single coming out later this month, aptly described by his publicist as a funky, new wave stylistic adventure in the manner of Talking Heads. Electronic synth scales rub up against Spanish acoustic guitar notes and a slow-bubbling disco beat – an arch and slinky mix of music – while Ned sings in his deadpan, quasi-gothic way. Cold but clever.
