The first African-American solo female artist of her generation to win the award for Best Contemporary Female Vocalist Performance, she was inducted into the Grammy Museum in LA, where her special 50th Anniversary exhibit was unveiled. To commemorate this monumental event, she released her 2012 studio album NOW, produced by Phil Ramone.
