Press Club are throwing an intimate hometown gig at Brunswick Ballroom, and it's set to be recorded for life.
Melbourne loves nothing more than watching its own make good, and Press Club are giving fans exactly that chance this September at Brunswick Ballroom.
Press Club will play a one-off hometown show on Thursday 24 September, the eve of the AFL Grand Final public holiday. The gig promises a career-spanning set pulled from all four of the band’s albums, alongside a handful of brand new tracks the crowd won’t have heard before.

Those new songs come from Press Club’s forthcoming fifth record, giving the Brunswick crowd first dibs on material still months away from release.
The whole night will also be professionally filmed and recorded, marking the band’s first ever live release and turning this single show into a genuine piece of their history.
Since forming in Melbourne back in 2017, Press Club have barely stopped moving, clocking up relentless touring runs across Australia, the UK and Europe. This show marks a rare pause in that touring cycle, bringing the band back to the neighbourhood where their story began for a night built entirely for the locals who watched them grow.
Attendees can also get their hands on a run of limited merchandise, available only on the night, giving early arrivals a genuine keepsake from the show. Day Dreamers, an alt punk outfit, will open proceedings, with a secret main support still to be confirmed closer to the date.
For a band that’s spent years earning their stripes on stages far from home, this is a chance for Melbourne to return the favour.
