Melbourne's hard techno institution teams up with Live Nation for a mystery headliner
The rumour mill is working overtime this week. Nerve has announced a special Friday night takeover at Brown Alley featuring a mystery international guest flying in from Europe, presented in collaboration with Live Nation.
Sara Landry is playing Sidney Myer Music Bowl that same evening as part of her ETERNALISM tour, and her support acts Anetha and SPFDJ are also in the country for those dates.
They fit the bill: Anetha is a French DJ and producer known for bouncy basslines and stomping kicks, while Swedish selector SPFDJ has built a reputation for blistering high-tempo sets across London and Berlin’s underground circuits. Either could feasibly be slipping across town for a late-night club set after the Music Bowl show wraps up.

The night sprawls across Brown Alley’s two rooms plus outdoor rooftop area, with the venue’s state-of-the-art DNB sound system doing the heavy lifting. Drink specials run all night including $6 Carlton and $11 vodkas for those who need liquid courage to keep pace with whatever high-BPM chaos unfolds.
Additional support comes from Kier Hales, Zoop, Senno and Luset, ensuring the decks stay hot from doors until close. Given the calibre of acts Live Nation typically deals with and the specific descriptor of European hard techno royalty, this shapes up as one of the bigger coups for Melbourne’s underground scene in recent months.
