Máquina Peligrosa are celebrating their new single Everybody Up! with a launch party at The Gem.

The surf punk outfit are bringing their brand of sonic danger to Collingwood next weekend, armed with their debut seven-inch vinyl Chased By Goons and enough feral energy to melt venue walls. Máquina Peligrosa translates to Dangerous Machine in Spanish, and their live shows prove exactly why they earned that moniker.

The band’s latest single Everybody Up! has just hit streaming platforms, marking another chapter in their garage-psych assault on Melbourne’s music scene. Their debut seven-inch features the hectic car chase vibes of Chased By Goons alongside the killer B-side Everybody Up!, delivering spy-tinged tension wrapped in big fuzzed-out grooves.

Joining the chaos are Big Moist and the Smoking Durries, a four-piece from Melbourne’s northern suburbs who’ve made waves across Victoria and the eastern states following their viral hit Peach Ice. The band are currently working on their debut album Dog Days after releasing their first single of 2025, Hair of the Dog.

The launch promises a night of sweat-drenched surf punk mayhem, with limited vinyl pressings available for purchase on the night. Early birds who snag the first 25 presale tickets through Oztix will score a free copy of the debut seven-inch plus stickers, making this essential for collectors and chaos enthusiasts alike.

Dangerous machines don’t slow down, and this one’s about to tear through The Gem with the darker side of surf punk, garage and psychedelic sounds that’ll leave punters buzzing long after last drinks.
