Jimmy Barnes will celebrate four decades of For The Working Class Man with special guests.
The Working Class Man 40th Anniversary Tour will see Jimmy Barnes perform his landmark 1985 album from start to finish across six premium outdoor venues from November 2025 through February 2026. The tour, presented by MG Live and Face To Face Touring, marks 40 years since the release of For The Working Class Man, which spent seven weeks at number one and sold more than 500,000 copies in Australia.

The album defined both Barnes and much of Australia when it was released in December 1985, going straight to number one and helping establish his hugely successful solo career. For The Working Class Man features classics including I’d Die To Be With You Tonight, Ride The Night Away, Without Your Love and the signature anthem Working Class Man.
Icehouse, led by Iva Davies and inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2006, achieved massive success with their 1987 album Man of Colours and classics like Great Southern Land. Cold Chisel alumnus Ian Moss, ranked as Australia’s greatest guitarist by his fellow musicians in 2014, brings his acclaimed solo catalogue including Tucker’s Daughter. Kate Ceberano, who rose to fame as a teenager fronting I’m Talking, will perform songs from her Australian Made Live show celebrating the rich history of Australian music.
To coincide with the tour, a special 40th anniversary release of the album will be available from 14 November, featuring newly remastered audio across multiple formats including a limited-edition flame-coloured vinyl release.
Tickets go on sale Thursday 7 August at 2pm local time via Ticketmaster, with various presales beginning Monday 4 August.
