I don’t get what the point of a song like Skip is, falling through like fine grade sand with little to grab onto. I like bangers. Oscar Key Sung can do bangers, as exhibited on All I Can Do. And there’s little subtlety on Skip, because there’s little anything, the chorus can’t stand on its own, so why not just go all out with some filthy beats? There’s a little default iPhone notification, a tip of the hat to UV boi فوق بنفسجي perhaps, and the invitation of comparison doesn’t work in Oscar Key Sung’s favour.
