Define your genre in five words or less:

Loud. Loudest. It’s really loud.

So, someone is walking past as you guys are playing, they then go get a beer and tell their friend about you. What do they say?

“How is that guy playing guitar so well without a pick?”

How long have you been gigging and writing?

As a band we have been writing and performing for about six months. The songs have been brewing for a long time and we have all been in other bands over the years.

What has been your favourite gig you’ve played to date?

Our first show at the Bendigo a few weeks ago. Our singer Lash put on a charity fundraiser for Indigenous Communities Victoria and we managed to raise over $600.

What inspires or has influenced your music the most?

I think we all have such a wide array of influences and that’s what, maybe, sets us apart from other bands in the scene. It’s a cliché to say, but I don’t think anyone in the band has drastically similar music tastes and I think that’s really important.

What do you think a band has to do these days to succeed?

I think there’s a lot of trend-following which sucks a lot. I think you need to have something different – a unique sound. Bring something new to the conversation.

Why should everyone come and see your band?

I’d personally go just to watch our guitarist Luka play Nintendo theme songs on his guitar. Actually – ask him to do that. He loves it.

SASKATCHEWAN are playing two shows for Rad Fest: the Public Bar on Saturday January 23 and the Brunswick Hotel on Sunday January 24.
