What do you reckon people will say you sound like ?
We’ve been likened to Wilco, Belle and Sebastian, The Triffids, The Go-Betweens, Yo La Tengo.
What do you love about making music?
The absolute release of making noise and taking chances. I think the more chances you take, the greater the reward. People reacting positively to your music is always a great feeling too.
What do you hate about the music industry?
I could make quite a list here. But probably better that I don’t. Nothing. OK, the haterz.
If you could travel back in time and show one of your musical heroes your stuff, who would it be and why?
I got to tour with my favourite songwriter Vic Chesnutt around the east coast of Australia. That was a huge thrill for me. Especially when he told me, “Y’all real good.”
If you could assassinate one person or band from popular music, who would it and why?
I don’t kill people, thanks for asking though.
What can a punter expect from your live show?
We try our best to play our best and be entertaining, so hopefully… a well played and entertaining show.
What’ve you got to sell CD-wise?
Our new album Arches Over The Sun is available on LP, CD and download. We’ve got two previous releases on CD as well.
When’s the gig and with who?
We launch our album in Melbourne on Thursday August 18 the Toff In Town with support from two of our favourites, The Orbweavers and Ildiko.
Anything else to add?
We’ve just come back from three shows in Brisbane which were fantastic. We’re next playing in Sydney, Canberra and Adelaide to finish off the tour. Send your cousins along.
