Live Music is set to light up Melbourne stages this November. Our guide to all the coolest big shows happening across the state this month.

From arena shows to stadium rockers, we’ve compiled a list of the biggest and best shows making their way to stages across Melbourne.

It’s hard to believe we’re already at the end of the year, but this doesn’t mean shows are slowing down we’ve got some of the coolest international performers, Aussie exports who have made it big, and plenty more. Let’s dive in.

Pop Music

Calum Scott

Recently seen performing on the 2022 Logies, Calum Scott keeps getting bigger and bigger here in Australia. His cover of ‘Dancing on My Own’ hitting the number 2 spot on Australian charts. The Brit will be playing a string of intimate locations across Australia, including Melbourne’s Corner Hotel. Calum Scott is playing the Corner Hotel on November 8.

The Wombats

 

The Wombats seem to have a love affair with Australia, by the time this tour rolls around, the group would’ve been to Australia twice since borders reopened. But no-ones complaining, the band always bringing something new to the stage, this time from their latest album, Fix Yourself, Not the World. The Wombats hit the Palais Theatre on November 27.

Tim Minchin

Talented musician, comedian, writer and composer Tim Minchin will bring his fun live show back to Melbourne this November for a show at the new Palace Foreshore. You’ll singalong and laugh at his many original compositions that’ll have gotten a lot of attention across the world. Tim Minchin plays the Palace Foreshore on November 26.

Dua Lipa

She’s arguably the world’s biggest popstar at the moment, and she’s currently down under on tour. Her 2020 album Future Nostalgia was one of the most popular releases of that year, and was the soundtrack for many of our lockdowns. She’ll be hitting the Rod Laver Arena this November.

Conan Gray

He’s flown under the radar here in Australia, but Conan Gray is quickly becoming one of pop music’s most popular names. His music has found a lot of attention on Youtube and TikTok, having around 7 million followers on the latter social media site.

The Lumineers

The Lumineers are perhaps best known for their 2012 hit ‘Ho Hey’, the track that reached the number 3 spot on the US charts. The group are returning to Austalia for a tour, in support of their recent release Brightside. They are hitting the Margaret Court Arena later this month.

Vance Joy

Local favourite Vance Joy is heading back home this month, for a huge show at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl. The Long Way Home tour will see him perform a new set full of classics, new songs, and special guests. Supporting Vance Joy will be Thelma Plum, Budjerah and Mia Wray. Vance Joy hits the Sidney Myer Music Bowl on November 26.

Five

Your mum’s favourite boy band is coming to Australia this month, British boy band Five hitting the stage in support of their latest album Time, their first release in a whopping 21 years. They’ll be hitting the 170 Russell stage this month.

Electronic / Rap / R&B

Flume

Flume has become one of the world’s most in demand artists, having worked with vocalists like Damon Albarn, Caroline Polachek and Laurel, among many more. He’ll bringing his world tour back home, and bringing Channel Tres, Toro Y Moi, Vera Blue, and May-A along with him, for what is sure to be a memorable gig. Flume is playing the John Cain Arena November 24 and November 25.

Toro Y Moi

While they’re here supporting Flume, Toro Y Moi will be hitting the stage on their own, bringing their chill vibes and laid-back beats to die-hard Melburnian fans. Their recent album

Mahal dropped in 2022, and has quickly become a classic. Toro Y Moi play the Northcote Theatre on November 23.

Tech N9ne

American rapper Tech N9ne just dropped his latest album Asin9ne, and it’s been getting a lot of positive buzz from fans and critics alike. His live shows often lauded for their fun energy and atmosphere. Now you can catch him live in concert this November, when he hits The Croxton Bandroom.  Tech N9Ne will be at The Croxton Bandroom on November 23.

Bliss N Eso

Australia’s favourite rappers Bliss N Eso bring their Wheel of Tunes tour to Melbourne fans this November. This tour will involve a wheel featuring songs on stage, that’ll be spun and whatever song it lands on, the group will perform it. There’s also bound to be old classics, and tracks off their 2021 release The Sun. Bliss N Eso hit 170 Russell on November 24.

Rock 

Hanson

The ‘MMMBop’ hitmakers are returning to Australian stages this November, on their Red Green Blue tour. It’s hard to believe the trio have now been around for around 30 years, and they’re still as talented as they’ve ever been. Hanson will hit the Forum on November 16 and November 17.
