Innovative dark electro duo Crystal Castles have announced Melbourne shows.
At a time when originality is on the brink of extinction, Crystal Castles have provided a much-needed hit of innovation into the collapsing veins of a music scene experiencing creative withdrawals.
With their eclectic brand of avant-garde, electronic, pop-noise, the duo deliver an unadulterated racket that lies somewhere in the middle and to the left of ecstasy, agony, clarity and confusion.
Hailing from Toronto, Canada, Crystal Castles are producer Ethan Kath and vocalist Alice Glass. Since their landmark first single Alice Practice was released – and immediately sold out – in June 2006, the duo have been surrounded by an air of persistent hype and mystique.
They will release their new album II next year and play The Palace Theatre in Melbourne on Friday January 28. Tickets go onsale through Ticketmaster on November 25.
