World-first immersive Space Jam lands in Melbourne this week

Space Jam

‘Space Jam: The New Legacy – The Tunes vs Goons Experience’ is premiering at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, this weekend.

Following the release of Space Jam: A New Legacy earlier this year and the 25th anniversary of the original 1996 classic (if you can believe it!), a new interactive Space Jam experience is coming to Melbourne for the summer, perfectly suited to the young and the young at heart.

Arriving at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre this weekend, Saturday, December 18, ‘Space Jam: A New Legacy – The Tunes vs Goons Experience’ is an interactive basketball play, video gaming and skills testing experience that is a must-do for all ages, so while the kids play the grown-ups can indulge in nostalgia and relive their childhood.

Stay up to date with what’s happening in Melbourne here.

Transforming the hit Warner Bros. Pictures animated live-action film into a new interactive event, here you’ll find fun-filled zones including Looney Tunes photo opportunities, hoops for practising trick shots, video arcade games, an inflatable mega-slide, one-of-a-kind ‘power-up’ tower climbing structure, plus loads of interactive basketball tests, challenges and masterclasses!

In case you missed the movie this year, Space Jam: A New Legacy is an animated-live action flick following basketball champion and global icon LeBron James who goes on an epic adventure alongside timeless Tune Bugs Bunny. This transformational journey is a manic mash-up of two worlds that reveals just how far some parents will go to connect with their kids. Here the ready-for-action Looney Tunes destroy convention and supercharge their unique talents when they play basketball their own way alongside the game’s greatest.

Inspired by the flick, the Space Jam experience is all about The Tunes being on the hunt for new squad recruits. Spread out over a 1200-metre course, the experience will limit capacity to 35 patrons per session, ensuring that there is plenty of room for everyone to get active and have some fun.

The perfect action-packed day out for basketball and SPACE JAM fans alike, it’s time to round up your crew and put your skills to the ultimate test.

SPACE JAM: A NEW LEGACY – The Tunes vs Goons Experience will run from 18 December 2021 to 30  January 2022 at MCEC. Tickets are on sale now and can be booked via the website
