What’s the name of your trivia night and who hosts it? It’s called Mind Out Trivia and is hosted by the effervescent Greg ‘Trivia Newton’ John, who knows his fair share of dad jokes and will pull you up on all the world’s weird and wonderful facts.
What themes do you explore? The theme changes each week. The losing team from the week before picks the theme. Exploring topics from TV shows to music genres to geography and movie magnates, in past weeks we’ve had Disney, hip hop, Seinfeld and Italy, as well as ‘90s and metal trivia.
What food is dished up on trivia night? We offer a sublime Mexican flavoured menu on top of pizzas and burgers. The nudist burrito is to die for and our chimichanga is a deep fried until crispy tortilla infilled with a stew of beans, mushrooms and corn. There are plenty of vegetarian and vegan options on the menu as well.
What’s a quirky segment set to bedazzle trivia punters? The third and final round is the ‘Dangerzone’ segment featuring a subjective question each week. A definite skin-crawler, minds are bent by the brain-twisting topics the ‘Dangerzone’ throws out each week. Expect the unexpected or you might be in for a barren, answer-less stint.
