The Great Australasian Beer Spectapular is renowned as one of the world’s best beer festivals. 2021 will be the tenth edition of the event.
After its 2020-induced slumber, the world-renowned Great Australasian Beer Spectapular is making a triumphant return to Melbourne this May.
Titled GABS for short, the festival is looking better than ever, boasting a new venue, great entertainment and of course, a selection of over a hundred beers and ciders all lovingly crafted by Australia and New Zealand’s best brewers.

Endearingly dubbed “the Disneyland for beer lovers”, GABS will impress any beverage enthusiast with its diverse variety of festival-exclusive beer and cider, ensuring there’s always something brand new to taste at any one of the 60+ breweries making an appearance at GABS.
And when we say brand new, we mean it. At GABS, brewers push the creative boundaries to showcase their talents with fantastic new creations, resulting in more than 100 new and unique craft beers and ciders brewed and released for the very first time at the festival.
Many of these brews go on to be legends in the brewing world, like Feral’s Biggie Juice, Two Birds’ Taco beer and Yeastie Boys Gunnamatta, which were launched as GABS festival beers, but are now staples in the craft brewing industry.

In true festive fashion, GABS 2021 is offering plenty of fun in between drinks. Try your hand at the Mountain Goat cornhole championship or challenge your mates to a game of ping pong.

2021 marks GABS’ tenth event, which after its humble beginnings here in Melbourne now finds itself appearing in Sydney, Brisbane and New Zealand and is recognised as one of the best beer fests in the world.
This year, you’ll find GABS at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre running from the Friday May 21st until Sunday May 23.
