In true Melbourne fashion, the CBD's beloved industrial container bar Whitehart is marking its eighth trip around the sun with a free all-day banger this Saturday.
Laneway institution Whitehart Bar – famous for its jungle-like atmosphere and notorious for its barbed-wire aesthetic – has assembled a proper stacked lineup of local talent to soundtrack the festivities, with sets from Mothafunk, HDSNJMSJR x THNDO bringing a special live looping session, plus performances from OJ Kush, Sadiva, So.Crates and Soul Energise.
Those arriving early can score free slices from +39 Pizzeria between noon and 2pm, while punters showing up later can tuck into South African BBQ from Shisanyama Kings from 3pm onwards.

True to form, the bar will be pouring premium drops from a who’s who of craft booze producers, including Archie Rose, Bodriggy, Hop Nation and Starward, plus international players like Olmeca Altos Agave and Código 1530.
Since opening in 2017, Whitehart has cemented itself as one of Melbourne’s most visually striking venues. The converted car park at the end of Whitehart Lane combines industrial edge with lush greenery – concrete and plants intertwining across two levels and a sprawling courtyard.
