Netflix
Russian Doll (Season 2)
It’s the wacky show that flew under the radar, but is jam packed with killer creators like Natasha Lyonne and Amy Poehler, it’s something that’s worth binging before the second season drops next month.
Without spoiling too much, it’s about Nadia (Lyonne) who’s stuck in an endless time loop and doesn’t know why. Season 2 features a star-studded cast alongside Lyonne, you’ll get to see Schitt’s Creek star Annie Murphy and Broadway stay Ephraim Sykes on screen.

He’s by far one of the most original and well-liked famous faces across the scene, always popping up on podcasts of younger comedians and taking them along for support on tour. It’s hard to believe after over three decades in the scene, he’s still yet to have a Netflix special, but there’s not too much longer to wait, with one dropping late April.

Step Into…The Movies with Derek and Julianne Hough
Their names mightn’t be that familiar on first glance, being staples of the American TV world, but their impact on the world of dance is huge.
Brother and sister Derek and Julianne Hough have been staples of the American Broadway and theatre scene for decades now, dazzling millions of fans with their talents. Now they’ve got their own special that celebrates dance in film over the years, and it’s hitting Disney+ next month.
Ghost Whisperer
It’s the show your high school crush loved (just us?) and now you can reminisce about those times when Jennifer Love Hewitt’s the Ghost Whisperer hits the Mouse House streaming world next month. The supernatural / sci-fi drama lasted five seasons from 2005 – 2010 and is still finding new fans a decade on.

Jackass: The Movie
Everyone’s favourite group of loveable larrikins entered the world with their hit MTV show Jackass and have since released a number of films continuing the story. The film journey started with Jackass: The Movie in 2002, and it’s hitting Stan this April.
Billy The Kid – Season 1
The world of streaming just keeps getting cooler and cooler, with shows hitting the service that are filmed in beautifully cinematic ways. Billy The Kid being a new show that fits that mold. Coming from the team behind Vikings, it details the life of the famous American outlaw of the same name.
Binge
Dr Seuss’ The Grinch
The animated remake of the live action 2000 film starring Jim Carrey is hitting Binge this April. This time with Benedict Cumberbatch in the titular role. This movie also marked a killer soundtrack, with legend Danny Elfman working with Tyler, The Creator on the music.

Luxe Listings Sydney Season 2
With the meteoric rise in popularity of shows like Selling Sunset, fans are loving the world of real estate and all the interesting characters that come along with it. The second season of the Sydney version is dropping next month, where we dive into the lavish lifestyles of the agents.
What’s coming to Melbourne cinemas
Ambulance
Michael Bay directed movie Ambulance has a pretty interesting backstory – the director was first offered the role back in 2015 but passed on the offer. Then after 2020’s period of self-sequestration, Bay was aching to get out and direct, and Ambulance was still without a director, so he put his hand up for it, as it could be done fast, and with little money. It’s hitting cinemas April 8.
The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent
This seems like one of the coolest movies to grace our screens all year. Love him or hate him, Nicholas Cage knows how to commit to a role well. This movie sees the actor play himself, albeit a dramatized version, but is himself opposite a super fan who offered him $1 million to attend a birthday party. It definitely sounds like it’s worth checking out. It hits Aussie cinemas April 13.
Downton Abbey: A New Era
The Crawley family have returned. Everyone’s favourite historical drama is heading back to the big screen for another instalment, coming three years after the self-titled debut feature, which came four years after the long running TV show. It’s hitting cinemas April 29.
