Welsh indie-folk multi-instrumentalist Novo Amor to head on tour this December

The singer-songwriter Novo Amor has announced his debut Australian tour dates.

Tender Welsh producer, multi-instrumentalist, singer and songwriter Ali Lacey performs and releases music under the moniker Novo Amor, and has announced his first headline tour in Australia. Playing the Croxton Bandroom on December 9, make sure not to miss his Melbourne debut.

Performing In Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne in early December, the indie folk singer is known for his swelling melodies and supple falsettos.

Born in Aberystwyth, Wales, Ali Lacey released his debut album Birthplace in 2018 and received critical acclaim, setting off on a world tour. In 2020, Lacey released his second self-produced studio album, Cannot Be, Whatsoever written after the storm of a first world tour.

In 2022, Lacey linked up with independent global campaigning network Greenpeace for an ocean protection awareness campaign to push world leaders and politicians to support a Global Ocean Treaty. Releasing the song State Lines along with a moving music video highlighting the issue of plastic in our oceans, Lacey and Greenpeace raised over 5 million sign-ups globally. Lacey’s strong focus on environmentalism transcends his lyrics and activism.

Last year Lacey also released his third album Antarctician Dream Machine, which was written while in Antarctica with Greenpeace earlier in 2022.

With over 7.2 million monthly listeners, Novo Amor is an RIAA award winning artist, praised by audiences and critics, with a steady growing cult following. Performing intimate shows in mid-sized venues, performances are guaranteed to be an intimate affair.
