Splendour Arts is set to transform the festival into a 600-acre gallery space, with a giant inflatable sad Kanye leading the charge. Yep, how’s that for some high culture?
Leading the charge are works from internationally renowned installation artist Craig Walsh, curating a mind-bending selection of pieces including a big ol’ Kanye that needs your help to turn his frown upside down, prolific projections, monumental sculptures and interactive installations that trade in death and the afterlife. Probably best not to drop any acid before hitting those ones up. Or do. I’m not your mum.
Elsewhere, Pickle’s Funeral Parlour will offer a walk-through gothic horror experience, a boggling geometric projection ground, and the return of The Arch Tunnell Response from Melbourne artist Ash Keating.
Of course, Splendour in the Craft is back too so you can get your inner primary school art teacher on. Expect glitter, pipe cleaners and a healthy dollop of Clag.
