We Came As Romans announce Darkbloom Australian tour

We came as romans

The American metalcore group hasn't been in the country for over eight years.

The Michigan five-piece has planned a short-but-sweet Aussie jaunt this spring. They’ll be touring on the back of their 2022 album Darkbloom, featuring the hit singles Black Hole and Daggers.

The band will be starting out at Adelaide’s Lion Arts Factors before hitting the country’s biggest two cities and finishing up at the Princess Theatre in Brisbane.

Known for their unique blend of screamo and metalcore as well as their passionate, energetic live shows, We Came As Romans hasn’t visited the country since 2015. The group is currently on tour in Europe and will be playing throughout the United States and Canada before they head down under in August.

On tour, they’ll be joined by the Texan progressive metal group Invent Animate. After gaining a following in the online djent music community, the band has released three studio albums, with their fourth, titled Heavener, expected for 2024.

It’ll be the first time We Came As Romans will tour in Australia without singer and keyboardist Kyle Pavone, who passed away due to an accidental overdose in 2018.

The band’s most recent album was written in his honour, touching on themes of grief, loss and love. As a tribute to their bandmate and friend, Kyle was never replaced in the band and the last album was made using synth tracks he had recorded earlier in his career.
