Washington to tour Australia with American singer-songwriter, Lissie.
Last year was a great one for Megan Washington, also known simply as Washington. She released her debut album which was certified platinum in less than six months, won two ARIA awards (Best Female and Breakthrough Artist Of The Year) and managed to become a household name in Australia.
This year promises to be yet another exciting one for the 25-year-old songstress. Washington has invited up-and-coming American singer-songwriter, Lissie, on what has said to be her only headline tour of this year, The Tour Of Laughing and Forgetting. Washington will be spending the rest of the year supporting international album releases.
Washington and Lissie first shared the stage late last year in Paris. After an amazing gig the two promised each other that they would once again share the stage in the near future. Both artists will be performing music from their debut albums. Sydney’s Deep-Sea Arcade will be joining the ladies on the tour. Washington’s current single, Cement, has been used in the latest DELL Computers television campaign.
The Melbourne leg of the tour takes place on Friday, April 29 at The Forum. Tickets available from Ticketmaster.
