The Wagons, Melbourne’s country five-some are releasing a new album on May 6 – Rumble, Shake and Tumble.

Melbourne’s "self-confessed middle-of-the-road suburban low-lifes" The Wagons are soon to add another country gem into their mix with fifth album Rumble, Shake and Tumble to be released on Friday, May 6.

The album will feature single Downlow which will be launched at the Corner Hotel on Friday, March 4. With support from The Twerps and The Rechords, The Wagons will also be releasing the limited edition vinyl release of their 2009 album, The Rise and Fall of Goodtown, on the evening.

After the gig at The Corner, The Wagons will travel to North America for the South By South West Festival and then play on in the Canadian Music Week, where they are likely to receive strange and perhaps admirable looks for their ability to tap into the sound of Nashville in Australia.

The band of five formed in high school in the late 90s and draw their influences from Johnny Cash, Scott Walker, Lee Hazelwood and Neil Diamond.
