What you need to know

  • Vivid Sydney is returning for 2021 and will take place from Friday August 6 until Saturday August 28
  • Another boundary-pushing program is expected from the festival, featuring both local and international artists
  • The festival’s program will be announced in mid-2021

Keep up to date with all the fresh festival news here.

The festival promises another boundary-pushing program for 2021, featuring mesmerising art displays and 3D projections from artists both at home and abroad, alongside another eclectic music lineup.

The full program will be announced in mid-2021 and if past year’s are anything to go by, it’s sure to be a doozy. In 2019, the festival welcomed the likes of The Cure, Maggie Rogers, Herbie Hancock, Dirty Three, Teyana Taylor and The Middle East, among others, to perform.

While COVID-19 will obviously restrict this year’s international contingent, you can be rest assured the curation will be spot on.
