Vital Sparks

Cafe Gummo

‘Is It Real?’ single launch.

Vital Sparks are a five-piece alt-rock band based in Melbourne/Naarm. The band’s self-produced songs take cues from jangly post-punk acts, 90’s slacker rock, and the sullen tail end of Britpop. With a couple of EPs and singles under their belt, the band are preparing to release their debut album later this year. A natural yet significant progression from previous work, Vital Sparks’ new tracks cohesively tie together wailing guitars, smooth bass lines, and introspective lyrics into a collection of songs that are as sincere as they are catchy.

Melbourne indie-rock band Hot Glue is made up of siblings Lily and Pearl Harnath, with Henry Lucas on drums. Hot Glue pulses with punchy beats, high energy guitars and soaring melodic harmonies. Their songs speak to the experiences of young adulthood, using music and sound to voice frustrations and release. Hot Glue released their debut EP ‘The City’ in 2018 after Lily finished high school, and as Pearl was about to enter Year 12, leading to an explosive debut on the Melbourne music scene. Citing influences including Phoebe Bridgers, Julia Jacklin and Big Thief, the band have played alongside a myriad of local acts including Body Type, Bad Bangs, and Jess Ribeiro.
