Falling in love doesn’t always have to be a tumultuous time, as proven by the music video of Alana Wilkinson’s new single, ‘Closer’.
Dressed in sun-kissed yellow, Wilkinson takes to the streets on a bright, sunny day to spread the good vibes around. With an upbeat demeanour and hypnotic folk melody, ‘Closer’ is a taste of what to expect from Wilkinson’s EP, expected to be released in 2019.
“The idea behind the ‘Closer’ video was to paint a picture of that feeling we get in the early stages when we are so giddy about another human that we could spontaneously pop into confetti at any given moment,” Wilkinson says.
Wilkinson has been added to the lineups for Queenscliff Music Festival and Woodford Folk Festival for the upcoming summer season — a perfect time to release a single like this.
