There’s a lot going on in Best Night, and all of it is very, very good. It actually sounds like what “the best night of your life” should sound like – euphoric, sexy and very intoxicating. Vaudeville Smash’s previous work sometimes leaned towards parody, kind of like that band in Old School, but here they play it straight with the smooth yacht-rock vibes and they’re all the better for it. And so are we.
