The Australian band were active in the infamous Little Band Scene, which had a tumultuous and short-lived existence in Melbourne in the early 80s. A reaction to the highly polished pop and the superficial mess punk had found itself in, the scene valued expression over form and sort to challenge the status quo through chaotic and temporary groupings of musicians, artists, fans and weirdos who all happened to be in the same place at the same time.
