Opened yesterday, the suburb now has a brand new Americana-style “smoke joint”.
Up In Smoke is brought to you by the team behind the beloved burger shack 8bit, and offers barbequed, smoked and slow-cooked meats, as well as a curated selection of imported and local craft beers.
The restaurant is held within a robust steel container housing a mix of timber and charcoal interiors. Inspired by the materials born out of a ‘smoker’ – steel, mesh, coal and timber – and the tough surrounding conditions – Footscray, heavy vehicles and noise.
