UK grime star Stormzy cancels all Australian shows

International grime star Stormzy has been forced to cancel all international shows for 2022, citing “circumstances beyond [his] control.” His tour was meant to come after a prolonged hiatus for the UK rap phenomenon, with his last appearance in Australia being Splendour in the Grass five years ago. He’s set to be replaced on the Spilt Milk lineup by international superstar Steve Lacy.

“It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to inform you guys that due to circumstances beyond my control, I must cancel international commitments for the remainder of the year which includes my Australian and New Zealand tour,” says Stormzy.

“You guys have waited so patiently and I am so sorry that this has to happen after all these ups and downs. I love you guys and I promise I will be back as soon as I can with a show that’s bigger and better than ever.”

For current ticket holders wanting a refund due to the change, Kicks Entertainment will be accepting requests from 8am Thursday, September 29 to 5pm Tuesday, October 4 via Moshtix. Any refunded tickets will be funnelled through Spilt Milk’s resale facility where new punters are able to purchase from 8am Thursday, October 6.
