Taking place from the afternoon all the way into the evening, Friends Of Friends is returning after a year long hiatus for a huge party featuring a headline performance from Detroit producer Omar-S. He’s set to take over the Bourke Street Courtyard, alongside the likes of huge players Anna B, Ben Fester, Floss Dogg, Genki Tanaka, Marli, Peteza + Ryan Berkeley for a massive party on October 30.

Since his blistering 2008 debut album, Omar-S has been on the top of his game ever since and with his critically acclaimed album Can’t Change being released in early 2022, he continues to prove himself as powerful voice on the electronic music circuit. With appearances at some of the world’s biggest festivals and stages, including Primavera Sound, Movement Detroit, Printworks, Lost Village, OFFSonar, Coachella, Panorama Bar, it’s set to be a huge show.

With a prolific career spanning nearly 20 years since his formative years in Detroit, Omar-S has earned himself legend status alongside fellow Detroit names Moodymann, Theo Parrish, Inner-City, Marcellus Pittman, and Rick Wilhite.
Known for his signature compositions of crunchy analog drums, soulful jazz-tipped samples, and rich vocal cuts, this is Omar-S’s first time back in Australia after three years away from our shores. It’s set to be the perfect open-air party to kick off the summer season.
