Tumbleweed set to headline Beechworth Music Festival

Aussie stoner rockers Tumbleweed are gearing up to headline Beechworth Music Festival, which is taking place later on this month.

The new year is shaping up to be big for the Wollongong five-piece, playing a show at the Espy one day before heading north-east to rock out at Beechworth. Later on in April, Tumbleweed will be heading to Queensland for a gig at Mojo Burning, hosted by the Hamilton Hotel.

Beechworth Music Festival’s location has quite the history. The festival grounds are situated in ‘Madman’s Gully’, known for its rich gold reserves in the 1850s and the Beechworth Lunatic Asylum which opened in 1867.

Tumbleweed join rock’n’roll icon Emilee South, blues outfit The Rubber Band, Architecture in Helsinki and more Aussie acts in what is bound to be a ripper two-day festival. With the lineup kicking off at 4pm on Friday January 25, it sounds like a post-work road trip is in order.
