Trials makes his solo debut with new single, ‘i’m a fucking wreck’

The MC, producer and one half of A.B. Original has given the first taste of his new solo project.

Trials has launched his solo project with the debut of his new single, ‘i’m a fucking wreck’. Having made a name for himself as an MC and producer, wearing both hats for A.B. Original’s successful album, Reclaim Australia, trials has branched out on his own for a new endeavour.

Having won four ARIA awards and received a further three nominations, as well as being accredited two double-platinum albums and ten gold albums for his extensive work as a composer and producer, the multi-talented Ngarrindjeri musician is back behind the mic.

Teaming up with rising American artist Daniyel for ‘i’m a fucking wreck’, trials is once again proving his sonic dexterity.

“I keep constantly evolving my sound and palette. I see a song like a picture; if I’m just painting in black and white, it gets boring. Collaborators bring shade, someone brings contrast and colour, before you know it, we’re working together on a detailed masterpiece I would never have achieved alone,” he says.

The single features a crisp and catchy beat, set against a string of self-deprecating confessional thoughts, all buoyed by trials’ signature production of big beats and warm guitar.

To accompany the release of his new single, trials has also dropped a film clip for the track.
