Hush: An Evening of Quiet Music at The Parliament 

If you’ve ever been pissed off by some rowdy punters in the back of the crowd, this show is for you. Hush is an award-winning concert series that bring together top-notch songwriters with a powerful twist – the audience must remain completely silent. The first installment will see Dan Kelly, Teeth & Tongue, Melody Pool, Sui Zhen, Jess Rebeiro, Grand Salvo, Man Made Mountain, Davey Craddock and The Grand Magoozi play in Parliament House’s Queens Hall, Federation and Library rooms. 

Valve Sounds: Elliphant + Yeo + UV boi فوق بنفسجي  at The State Library 

This gig has been pegged by many as a Melbourne Music Week highlight, and we’re going to agree. Local record label and management group Valve Sounds and bringing together a potent lineup of hip hop, R&B and soul. Get down for tunes from Elliphant, Yeo, UV boi فوق بنفسجي, Young Tapz, Levi, Nasty Mars, Maya Hirasedo as well as music in the forecourt by Alice Ivy, Big Words + Junor (DJ set). Safe to say, you don’t want to miss this.

Sun Sets: Big Words + Alice Ivy + Junor at the State Library Forecourt

Get your evening started with a tight local lineup including beatmaker and guitarist Alice Ivy, who has turned heads across the globe with her genre-pushing electro singles. Elsewhere, Big Words join the fray alongside fellow hip hop maverick Junor, fresh from a series of dates across the country and a tour alongside Wu-Tang Clan.
