Tim Minchin will be performing with his stunning eight-piece band at the Palace Foreshore this November.
Internationally renowned, award-winning musician, comedian, actor, writer and composer Tim Minchin has announced he will be bringing a special live show to Melbourne this year.
The self-described ‘semi-retired comedian’ will take to the stage at Melbourne’s Palace Foreshore on Saturday, November 26 for a vibrant live show.

“It’s a festival set that we’ve been performing, loads of songs, me running around on stage being a goose and you having a good time,” Minchin says.
One of the world’s most popular Aussie live acts, Minchin has been selling out award-winning gigs in the UK, US and Australia for over a decade. His most recent tour, Back, was seen by over a quarter of a million people.
Minchin is the composer-lyricist of the hit musical, Matilda, which won 85 international awards and recently celebrated 10 years on the West End. His second musical, Groundhog Day, won the Best Musical Olivier Award (West End) and was nominated for 7 Tonys (Broadway). The feature film version of Matilda the Musical has its world premiere in October at the London Film Festival and will be subsequently released by Netflix in late 2022.
His 2020 studio album Apart Together debuted at #3 in Australia and top 30 in the UK charts. In Late October/early November Tim will release a new song “The Aeroplane” written for Upright Series 2. Upright 2 will be released by Foxtel/Sky Atlantic later in 2022 and the song will be available through BMG Records.
Among his career credits, he has released two children’s books and a graphic novel, and has made speeches that have been viewed tens of millions of times, alongside been awarded three honorary doctorates and is a member of the Order of Australia.
