The legendary Bay Area thrash metal band Testament will be heading to Australia in June 2025, marking their first headline tour in the country since 2010.
Testament, celebrated as one of the undisputed titans of thrash metal, will deliver their signature sound across five cities, with a setlist expected to include fan favourites and iconic anthems.
With a legacy stretching back to the 1980s, Testament has produced some of the genre’s most enduring hits. Tracks like Over the Wall, Practice What You Preach, Rise Up, Into the Pit, Brotherhood of the Snake, and Low have cemented the band’s reputation. Albums like The Legacy and The New Order have even been inducted into Decibel Magazine’s Hall of Fame, joining classic acts such as Metallica, Black Sabbath, and Motörhead.

The band’s influence in the metal community is clear: The New Order has been included in Revolver Magazine’s essential thrash albums list, while Guitar World recognised Practice What You Preach as one of the Top 10 Shred Albums. Their album Low is considered among the albums that defined 1994, and The Formation of Damnation received Best Album at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards. More recently, Dark Roots of Earth became their highest-charting album nearly 30 years after their formation, proving Testament’s ongoing relevance and appeal.
Fronted by an unwavering commitment to pure thrash, Testament has managed to stay true to their genre roots while consistently innovating their sound. Their most recent album, Titans of Creation, was described as “an adrenaline-filled apocalyptic masterpiece” by Wall of Sound. Testament’s performances continue to impress, with Loud Flash Magazine praising their shows as “mind-blowing” and This Day In Metal lauding the band as “one of the all-time greats.”
