Victoria's biggest beachside festival will not go on this year.

Coastal Jam festival, set to take place on Saturday, January 13 on the Morning Peninsula’s Rosebud Village Green, has announced its cancellation just days before it was supposed to happen.

This year’s lineup featured acts such as Lime Cordiale, Austin Millz, Bryce Vine and Sun Room.

The team has taken to social media to apologise for the last-minute update. “It’s with a heavy heart that I announce the cancellation of our festival scheduled for January 13th this year,” says founder Adam Metwally.

“As a small business in event promotion, we’ve faced significantly greater challenges than usual, especially with the cost of living crisis impacting us all. People waiting last minute leading to slower ticket sales, a major festival / international tour every other week and the overall financial constraints for our audience have unfortunately led us to this tough decision.”

As a consolation, Coastal Jam has teamed up with Circa Trax & OURFRIENDS to host a backup event, also taking place on January 13.

The OURFRIENDS Day Party will be held at the Portsea Hotel and will be headlined by Sydney duo Set Mo. It will also feature artists and DJs including Ben John, Jack Webb, Eliza Brayshaw, Piero & Bonnie Anderson, Holmes John, and Nite Theory & Ashley James.

Coastal Jam ticket holders are welcome to exchange their tickets for entry to the OURFRIENDS Day Party as well as a $50 refund. They also have the option of exchanging their unusable ticket for any other single-day ticket to future festivals or a full refund.
