words by staff writer

Treat your posh pooch to a grazing platter. Why the hell not?

As the old saying goes, dogs are a man’s best friend. And would you really let your best friend eat sloppy wet meat out of a can every day? Don’t answer that.

Richmond’s Bridge Hotel is serving up its famed Barkuterie boards every Saturday until October 9, which means you’ve only got a few more chances to treat your pup to a day on the town.

The Bridge Hotel Dog Charcuterie Boards

  • The Richmond joint will be offering a luxe treat for your furry friend on Saturdays until October 9
  • The dog charcuterie (also known as Barkuterie) will include a range of treats from Pet Circle
  • It will cost $12

Stay up to date with what’s happening in and around Melbourne here.

First stop? Dog Dazzlers for a blowout. Next stop? The Bridge Hotel for a Barkuterie board. Finish it off with a little doggie dessert from the Supaw Pet Bakery and you’ve got a whole day of puppy pampering.

For the very reasonable price of $12, your fur baby will sample a range of gourmet treats from the Australian pet supply company Pet Circle. With kangaroo liver, pig ears, and chicken balls (yum!) as part of the diverse Pet Circle range, your canine comrade is sure to be satisfied.

The board will also feature fresh-cut fruits and vegetables as well, as a balanced diet is very important. Unfortunately, there is no dog wine to match (probably for the best) but there is human wine, so make sure to have a couple of those while your pup chows down.

The Bridge Hotel is just one of 18 venues across Australia now offering up dog charcuterie boards. With a chilled-out vibe, a bangin’ menu and a pet-friendly ethos, it’s an easy choice. Woof woof!
