This Melbourne exhibition explores the world of ’60s Americana

Eggleston’s images of people in diners, petrol stations, phone booths and supermarkets have inspired contemporary Hollywood filmmakers including Sophia Coppola, the Coen Brothers and David Lynch.

Direct from the National Portrait Gallery in London, the exhibition was voted as London’s top exhibition of 2016 by The Telegraph and features never-before-seen images of The Clash frontman Joe Strummer and actor Dennis Hopper.
