SYS_ERROR brings four immersive installations and a warehouse rave to The Industrique on 17 July.
SYS_ERROR is a warehouse rave built around one unsettling idea: a system that turns your presence into data. It’s less about visuals as a backdrop and more about work you’re meant to move through.
The whole thing lands at The Industrique on 17 July, where SYS_ERROR gathers eight artists across four large-scale interactive installations. Together they poke at what happens when human presence gets fed into unstable systems trying to measure something they can never fully hold.

The four pieces anchor the night, sitting closer to collaborators than decoration. Rather than a straight club night, it’s framed as an audio-visual experience, where the artwork and the people in the room feed into each other. The premise is simple enough on paper: hand a body over to a system, watch it try to make sense of you, and see where the reading falls apart.
On the sound side, the program runs through techno, trance, hardgroove and what Platform calls dubtonic pressure, carried by Gazhua, FLOW, mishLXY and Missé. Eora/Sydney’s ONARSÉ joins them, an emerging hard techno name whose sets have been cutting through with plenty of momentum. Eight artists in all are working together across the night, threading the audio and visual sides into one thing.
Visual and spatial direction comes through a collaboration with Nick Marriott, whose recent credits take in visuals for The XX at Coachella, Nine Inch Nails’ Grammy-winning As Alive As You Need Me To Be video, and A3 Festival. Platform Presents builds its programs around new media artists working in interactive installation, reactive visuals and screen-based work. If the name doesn’t ring a bell, you might know the team from Hybrid, their other series co-curated with Soundcheck.
