Mattel's Malibu Barbie Cafe is launching in Chadstone Shopping Centre.
Mattel’s wildly popular Malibu Barbie Café is set to make its highly anticipated Australian debut at Chadstone Shopping Centre this month, marking the first time the immersive dining experience has been launched outside the United States.
The two-storey, family-friendly pop-up will feature all-day casual dining, a 70s themed Ken Kabana, a roller rink, History of Beach installation and limited-edition merch.

Presented by Mushroom Group, in partnership with Mattel, Bucket Listers, and Chadstone Shopping Centre, the café promises a bold and vibrant Barbiecore experience that combines nostalgic flair with modern pop culture energy.
Following its sold-out success in New York, Chicago, Miami, and beyond, the Malibu Barbie Café is ready to wow local fans.
The all-day dining includes a mouth-watering menu of barbie-themed delights, desserts and refreshing drinks.
Upstairs, the fun continues at the Ken Kabana, where themed cocktails capture the essence of 1970s Malibu, a nod to the era when Malibu Barbi first burst onto the scene.
Guests can also lace up for the Malibu Barbie Café x Impala roller rink, set among palm trees, vibrant murals, and upbeat summer tunes.
But it’s not just about food and skating, visitors to Chadstone Shopping Centre can dive into exclusive limited-edition merchandise, explore the History of Beach installation charting Barbie’s evolution, and step inside a life-sized Barbie box for the ultimate photo op.
Located in The Social Quarter at Chadstone, the café is set to run from June through Summer 2026, offering guests plenty of time to indulge in this playful, immersive world.
