She Makes Noise lands at the Bergy Bandroom this weekend with a stacked all-female lineup
She Makes Noise is back this weekend, taking over the Bergy Bandroom on 19 September with five acts across jazz, indie, alternative rock and electronic pop, all built around celebrating women and femme-presenting musicians in Victoria.
This year’s lineup includes Girls Night In, harminia, Kaylah Thomas, LÂLKA and Sadie Mustoe, presented by She Makes Noise and OH! GOODY! Bookings. After a strong debut in 2025, the festival is stepping up with a lineup that covers serious ground in a single night.

The festival’s whole premise is giving emerging artists room to be raw and unpolished on stage.
Girls Night In sums that up best; the Melbourne jazz collective exists specifically to counter the gender imbalance still baked into a lot of jazz spaces, giving women room to lead, write and perform on their own terms.
Kaylah Thomas opens the night proper with her indie-pop storytelling; the country Victoria artist has already sung to thousands at Hisense Arena and Crown Casino, and turns that same vulnerability into every lyric. Sadie Mustoe follows with twisting, folk-tinged melodies and magical realism, showing off her 2026 single White Flag and its unconventional mix of guitar and violin.
Then harminia takes the energy up several notches, pairing ’90s and 2000s grunge and shoegaze influences with a visual kei-inspired stage presence that swings from fragile stillness to full distortion-driven release.
Closing the night is LÂLKA, whose glitchy, club-ready production has earned her airtime on triple j and BBC Radio 6 and support slots for Charli XCX and Genesis Owusu; expect her set to send the night out on a high.
With doors at 6pm and only 180 early tickets available, this is shaping up to be one of the most tightly packed lineups Melbourne’s seen from a single-night festival this year; five very different sounds, one very loud statement.
