Gunuwarra: Deep Winter Rooftop Gathering brings DJs, food and a First Nations lineup to the Spiegel Haus rooftop for a free NAIDOC Week fundraiser.
A free-entry fundraiser perched high above the city, Gunuwarra: Deep Winter Rooftop Gathering pulls together DJs, hosts, performers and community voices for one long winter night of music and connection. SOJU GANG sits at the top of the bill, with FOSTERS, DJ KITI, TREY, FAF and PVRTAL all lined up to take their turn behind the decks.
Keeping things moving on the mic are hosts 2JOOCEEE, Jay Wymarra and Chris Saunders, with a few special guests dropping in across the evening. Produced by Henry Fosters alongside Chris Mitchell, the event takes its name from Gunuwarra, the swan and companion of Bunjil, and leans into a community-first idea of NAIDOC Week that puts First Nations artists, culture and connection at the centre.

The rooftop opens at 5pm and runs through to 1am, leaving a generous stretch for deep-winter dancing. Set against the cold and concrete of a Naarm winter, the gathering sets out to celebrate the richness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander music, art, storytelling and community connection, all from a rooftop in the centre of town.
While the focus sits firmly on First Nations artists and culture, the gathering also opens its doors to wider Melbourne, with anyone welcome to come along, listen, dance, donate and lend their support on the night.
There’s more on the rooftop than the lineup. Backed by the City of Melbourne, the night brings merchandise from Clothing The Gaps for anyone keen to support Aboriginal-led creative work, plus a custom menu whipped up by CDMX Tacos for the occasion. Entry stays free via RSVP and donations are warmly welcomed, with every dollar raised going to VACCA and its work alongside Aboriginal children, young people, families and communities across Victoria.
