Beach Volleyfest is heading to Geelong’s iconic foreshore in November.

Get ready to feel the sand between your toes, Geelong is gearing up to welcome international and national beach volleyball stars to Rippleside Beach for Beach Volleyfest. From 17 to 26 November, this iconic foreshore will transform into a haven of sun, sea, and sport.

Following the resounding success of the 2022 Great Ocean Road Beach Volleyfest in Torquay last year, this marks the second time the festival graces the shores of Victoria. The Geelong Beach Volleyfest promises to be bigger and better, with elite competitions in the Volleyball World Pro Beach Tour and the Australian Beach Volleyball Tour, offering spectators a smorgasbord of thrilling formats to enjoy.

Stay up to date with what’s happening in and around Melbourne here.

The Volleyball World Pro Beach Tour showcases the crème de la crème of beach volleyball talent from across the globe. On the other hand, the Australian Beach Volleyball Tour is a platform for our nation’s brightest stars to hone their skills and potentially make their mark on the international circuit.

Anticipate a gathering of approximately 400 competitors and their dedicated support crews, with fans filling the stands to cheer on their favourite teams. The event will come to life in a specially constructed event village, boasting competition courts, training courts, spectator seating, and off-court activations to engage with the community and foster sporting development.

But that’s not all – Geelong and the Bellarine Peninsula will shine on the global stage as the event will be streamed to more than 70 countries. This exposure will undoubtedly elevate regional Victoria as a top-notch tourism destination.

The Geelong Beach Volleyfest adds to Victoria’s already impressive calendar of sporting events this year, including the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race, Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix, FIFA Women’s World Cup, Bledisloe Cup, NHL Global Series Melbourne, and more.

So, save the dates and prepare to witness world-class athleticism against the backdrop of our beautiful foreshore. For more info, head here.
