Melbourne’s continues its much-loved tradition of bringing the animal characters from Kenneth Grahame’s The Wind in the Willows home to the Royal Botanic Gardens for a summer of madcap fun.
Since it was first published in 1908, Grahame’s charming tale of Toad, Ratty, Mole and Badger and their trials and triumphs in the English countryside has endeared itself to millions.Over one hundred years on, The Wind in the Willows continues to delight each new generation.
Hang onto your rabbit ears, as Glenn Elston’s acclaimed production brings the timeless and joyful tale to life in the magical garden atmosphere. Join The Willows gang as they create chaos, fend off weasels and have a load of fun along the way. Their riverside adventures will thrill the littlies and bring a smile to the young at heart.
Over the years an audience of tens of thousands have delighted in the simple pleasures of this rollicking production, so pack a picnic and the kids and come down to Wind in the Willows at The Royal Botanic Gardens.
The show will run Tuesdays to Saturdays between Tuesday December 28 2010 and Saturday January 29 2011 (no shows on January 1 or 26). Shows commence 11am and 6pm.
