The Canadian hitmaker has postponed his highly anticipated Australian tour.
The Weeknd has postponed his Australia After Hours Til Dawn tour, with dates now delayed for Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. It was due to be the first time he touched down in the country in six years. The initial announcement of these shows sent shockwaves through the music world, with additional performances added to meet the overwhelming demand.
The Weeknd, known by his real name Abel Tesfaye, decided to postpone his highly anticipated Australian tour, citing “unforeseen circumstances.” This unexpected move comes just three weeks before the tour was set to kick off.

Now, ticket holders for the November tour dates will need to mark their calendars for 2024 when the rescheduled dates will be announced.
In a message to his Australian and New Zealand fans, The Weeknd said, “Due to unforeseen circumstances, we must reschedule the Australia/New Zealand tour. New dates will be announced next year and current tickets will be valid for the new shows. Refunds will be available for those unable to attend the new dates. Deeply disappointed but can’t wait to be there with you!”
Live Nation also released a statement today: “We regret to advise that The Weeknd ‘After Hours Til Dawn’ tour is being rescheduled for Australia & New Zealand 2023.
“We understand fans will be disappointed, and Live Nation is focused on working with The Weeknd to secure a new tour schedule. We will make a further announcement as soon as possible.”
All tickets remain valid for the rescheduled shows without the need for exchange. All ticket holders will be contacted with new show dates in due course. Patrons unable to attend the new dates can obtain a refund from the point of purchase.

Touted for his contemporary brand of dark, sexy R&B, he took a firm step into the public eye in 2013 with his debut album, Kiss Land, which came out at number two on the US Billboard 200.
Today, he’s among the world’s best-selling music artists, with over 75 million records sold across the world. His discography is laden with genre-defining gems including I Can’t Feel My Face, Blinding Lights, The Hills, Starboy, Save Your Tears and Die For You.
