Following several lineup changes including the departure of founding member Kurt Vile, the four piece released their second album Slave Ambient in 2011 as the follow up to their 2008 debut Wagonwheel Blues. It was recorded over several years at front man Adam Granduciel’s studio, and is full of songs that feel both refreshingly new yet instantly identifiable. The War On Drugs craft nostalgic anthems with their signature brand of rock, folk, blues and everything in between.
