Jaedyn Randell, the voice behind Disney's te reo Māori Moana, is bringing her soulful sound to Brunswick.
The Aotearoa-born, Melbourne-based soul and r&b artist has built a career that spans film, voice acting and original music. Jaedyn Randell voiced the titular character in both Moana and Moana 2 Reo Māori, and took on the role of Princess Anna in Frozen Reo Māori, helping carry the language to audiences well beyond her home country.
Randell also reached the grand final of The Voice Australia in 2024, performing under the guidance of coach Kate Miller-Heidke. She’s since been channelling that platform into a growing run of original releases and live shows across Australia, establishing herself as a solo artist in her own right.

Her recording history stretches back to 2018 with the collaborative single Te Matatini Ki Te Ao, but Randell’s solo debut came in 2021 with Patupaiārehe, a track written and performed entirely in te reo Māori. The single wove traditional sounds through contemporary soul and r&b, and signalled a creative direction she’s continued to develop since making Melbourne her base.
That relocation has brought a wave of new material. Little More Time dropped in 2025 as her first English-language solo single, followed by the Sam V collaboration Small Taste. Her most recent release Heaven landed in early 2026, and Randell currently pulls in close to 33,000 monthly listeners on Spotify.
The Brunswick Ballroom show takes a stripped-back approach, with Randell performing an acoustic set that mixes covers of r&b favourites with her original material, including Little More Time and Heaven. Doors open at 6:30pm and the music kicks off at 8pm, with general admission tickets starting from $46.92.
It’s a rare chance to catch an artist whose voice has carried te reo Māori through three Disney films in one of Melbourne’s most intimate live rooms.
