Get ready for the ultimate clash of the bands: The Aus Vrs Vibes 2023 massive Live Band Edition is taking over the Croxton Bandroom on June 17. The showdown between titans of reggae and roots Crown Heights and Ras Jahknow Band will be joined by guests Jah Tung and Shottaz, with Zare Demus hosting as MC and a dance choreo and performance from Jungle City Collective.

Crown Heights is a unique and dynamic reggae band based in Melbourne, Australia. With members hailing from Jamaica, London, New Zealand, Brazil, Samoa, and Sri Lanka, Crown Heights brings a truly global vibe to the reggae scene. The band is fronted by two lead vocalists, Marvin Priest and Dufty Kare Martin, both seasoned artists with impressive resumes. The rest of the band is made up of Melbourne’s finest musicians, including Brett Direx on drums, Jahwise on bass, Jason Davis on guitar, and Frankey Keyz on keyboards.

Ras Jahknow and his band are a force to be reckoned with in the reggae music scene. Their unique blend of culturally rich roots reggae music incorporates sounds from all over the world, including the African island nation of Cape Verde, Brazil, Tanzania, Mauritius, and Australia. The passionate vocals in both English and Creole are a testament to the band’s dedication to bridging the gaps in cultural understanding and unity.
